When was the last time you saw a guppy fish?

The guppy is named after Robert John Lechmere Guppy. My Guppy discovered guppy fish in 1866. They are tropical fish which means that they stay in warm freshwater. Guppies are usually found in hot countries like Philippines, Tonga, Samoa and Fiji.

Guppies prefer living in warmer waters and they enjoy staying in ponds and lakes. These fish can survive in salty water as well. They are often called Million fish because of how quick and easy it is to breed them. Most guppies only live for one or two years. Some guppies have been known to live for about five years!

Female guppies get pregnant fast. Before it gives birth, you can see the eyes of the baby guppies at the back of its belly. The female guppy can give birth to over 100 or 200 babies. Just after a female guppy gives birth, it can become pregnant again even there weren't any male surrounding them. Female guppies do not lay eggs, the babies are formed straight away.

The difference between male and female guppies is that the female guppy has a round tail than the male. The female guppy also grows a lot bigger than the males. Male guppies are a lot colourful than the female guppies. Instead of having a round tail, the male guppy has a much more bigger tail than the female.

Long ago, the original wild guppy was a dull colour. There are now over 24 different types of guppies in the world.

WALT write a report using the correct structure.
I know this when I write the topic, followed by the details and then the conclusion in my report.
