Have you been rock climbing before?
It was a cold drizzly morning. Yay! Another birthday party to go to! I got up and got dressed. After that, I put on my shoes.
Then my mum and my sister dropped me off at Climbzone. Once I arrived there, I looked for Cheska but I couldn't find her. I felt confused because I was searching for her everywhere. Before I climbed, I had to wear a harness for safety in case I fell.
Yay! I am now ready to climb! I thought it would be hard but it was easy. After that, I went to Adventure Land. When I was there, Cheska saw me and came up to me. "There you are," I said. Then I saw Kayla, Gabby and Cheska's other friends.
The first activity that we did was rock climbing. We raced each other up the walls. I raced with Kayla and Cheska. We tried to go as fast as we could to get to the top. Kayla won the first race. Gabby and I had a race as well. "Three, two, one, go!" I shouted. It was funny because we were having trouble climbing. To me it was the hardest rock climbing up the wall. We had to cling into small blocks and big blocks. "Gabby, when we go down, let's go slowly and fly gracefully like an angel!", I said.
"Okay", she replied. We looked like birds. I was laughing because while we were going down slowly, we kept on bumping into the walls.
Then we played a few games. First we played Hide and seek tag. We played it a few times. "Let's play Infection!", said Cheska's friends. We ran away as fast as we could and hid from the tagger. It was fun because I loved hiding.
We got hungry so we had some food. I had a sausage sizzle, fried chicken and some rice. "Yum!", said all of us.
It was an incredible time at Climbzone. I had fun climbing the walls and playing games. Maybe I'll have my birthday there next time.

Have you ever received your citizenship certificate?
On Tuesday, my family and I went to the citizenship ceremony. We were super excited because we were about to become New Zealand citizens. It started at 10:00 am and finished at 11:00 am.
It started to rain when we arrived there. "Let's go in the car!", shouted mum. Then all of a sudden the rain became smaller and smaller and then it stopped. "Don't worry, it is not a lot of rain coming down from the sky!", I said.
When we were inside the venue we had to wait for the door to open because that was where the ceremony was going to be. A few minutes later, more people came and they also waited with us. Then the door opened.
When we were seated, I saw a bible. I took a quick look at the scriptures while I waited for the ceremony to start.
"Welcome to everyone here at the ceremony", the speaker said. First, some people performed a Maori dance. Then they shared a video about the new citizens in New Zealand. My family and I enjoyed it. After that, it was time for handing out the citizenship certificates. We were very excited about it because we were about to receive our certificates. "Ronald, Charity, Vine and Shannon, Philippines!", the speaker read out. I was a little bit nervous and shy because I don't really like to stand in front of an audience. Then finally we got our certificates.
After that, we went to KFC and had lunch. We ate some chickens and some fries. After that we took a rest because we were tired.
My favourite part was when we received our certificates because it proves that we are really citizens of New Zealand and that New Zealand is our country. I would love to see other people receive their citizen certificates when it's their turn.

When was the last time you saw a guppy fish?
The guppy is named after Robert John Lechmere Guppy. My Guppy discovered guppy fish in 1866. They are tropical fish which means that they stay in warm freshwater. Guppies are usually found in hot countries like Philippines, Tonga, Samoa and Fiji.
Guppies prefer living in warmer waters and they enjoy staying in ponds and lakes. These fish can survive in salty water as well. They are often called Million fish because of how quick and easy it is to breed them. Most guppies only live for one or two years. Some guppies have been known to live for about five years!
Female guppies get pregnant fast. Before it gives birth, you can see the eyes of the baby guppies at the back of its belly. The female guppy can give birth to over 100 or 200 babies. Just after a female guppy gives birth, it can become pregnant again even there weren't any male surrounding them. Female guppies do not lay eggs, the babies are formed straight away.
The difference between male and female guppies is that the female guppy has a round tail than the male. The female guppy also grows a lot bigger than the males. Male guppies are a lot colourful than the female guppies. Instead of having a round tail, the male guppy has a much more bigger tail than the female.
Long ago, the original wild guppy was a dull colour. There are now over 24 different types of guppies in the world.

When did you first celebrate Mother's day?
On Sunday, it was Mother's day! My family and I woke up on a bright , cold, sunny morning. "Where should we go?", asked dad.
"Church first!", mum replied. We had to change into our outdoor clothes before we went out.
When we arrived at church, it had already started. "Are we late?", I asked.
"No.", mum replied. However, I thought we were. After church, my family and I thought that it was too early to go to the restaurant so we decided to wait for a bit. While were waiting, we decided to go to the pet shop.
Inside the pet shop, there was a pond filled with comets. We also saw turtles. They were cute because of their small size. There were fish from the sea as well! "I found Dorothy!", I shouted. It was one of my favourite fish because it reminds me of the movie Nemo. There were Arowanas too! They are fish that are said to be lucky.
After exploring the pet shop, we went to the super market to get some food.
Then we headed to the restaurant. We ate a lot of food. "I'm full!", I said. I rushed to the toilet as fast as a rabbit after my meal. My family were still eating. The food was delicious.
It was such a fun day because I went to the pet shop and had a chance to look at pets. It was also very precious bonding time with my family. When Father's day is here, I hope it will be just like this one but even better!

Suddenly, Rufus pricked up his ears, then he jumped up and dived straight into the river. “Come back Rufus!”, shouted Fran. However, Rufus was swimming quickly down the river. Fran shouted at Rufus again and again but he just kept on swimming.
All of a sudden, Rufus disappeared. “Rufus, where are you?”, she yelled. Fran felt as scared as a ghost because she thought that Rufus had been taken away from her. Then, they heard Rufus barking. Fran saw Rufus playing with another dog. “Dad, Rufus is playing!”, shouted Fran.

Go Manny Pacquiao!
It was a cold, sunny morning. My family and I decided to go to my uncle and aunty's house to watch boxing.
When we arrived there, my sister and I ran straight as fast as a cat up stairs. "I can't wait to watch the boxing live!", I said. While we were all waiting, we talked about what the fight might be like and who might win. Minutes later, my other aunty, uncle and cousins came over to see the fight as well. "This is going to be interesting!", my other cousin said. Then we all waited for the fight.
Twenty minutes later, my family, cousins, uncles, aunties and I heard the name Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao being called out. "I'm super excited!", my aunty said. Then the fight started. We were all rooting for Manny Pacquiao. Then it started, Round one, DING, DING, DING! The boxers looked like they didn't have much energy. They were as tired as a sleepy mouse. After that, Round two, ding, ding, ding! This round was even more active than Round one. "Woohoo!", we shouted.
"Go Manny Pacquiao," my parents called out.
While we were waiting, we ate some food. We had shrimp, noodles, pork and some other Filipino food. I ate some shrimp with rice and I loved it! My cousins and I played Man Hunt, tag and hide and seek. That was fun!
At the end of the fight, they announced the winner. The winner is... Floyd Mayweather! "No!", we shouted.

Do you think flowerhorn fish are cute?
It was a bright sunny morning. My dad wanted to go and get a pet flowerhorn fish. My whole family thought about it. "We'll see if it is cheap enough", my mum said.
First we ate some breakfast. My family and I had some cereal and milk. After that we changed into outdoor clothing. Then we went into the car and drove to Goldfish Pagoda. We arrived there at 12:00am and went back home at 1:00pm.
"Do you have any flowerhorn fish here?", my dad asked. "Oh, yes I do!", replied the owner. There were a lot of flowerhorn fish at his shop. "Dad, mum, could we get this flowerhorn?", I asked. "That's really nice and it's also cheap!", my sister thought. My whole family agreed. We brought it for $80.00. After buying the fish, we took it home with us.
The tank was already set up at my house. First, my dad got the net and took the fish out of the big bag and placed it in the large aquarium. Yay! He has a new home now! Flowerhorns might bite your hand if it is in their territory.
I called this day first pet day. My family and I loved looking at all the different types of fish especially the flowerhorn. I'd love to get another fish. That was a fun pet day.

Mum, dad, when could we go back to the lake?
On Saturday the 25th of April, it was a sunny bright morning at my cousins house. My family, cousins and I went to the lake at Hamilton for some exercise. We started walking at 11:30am and came back home at 12:30am.
When we arrived at the lake, we started jogging for about 20 minutes. Minutes rolled by and we started to slow down and finally we stopped. "Ugh! I'm so tired", I said.
"Let's walk instead", replied dad. My mum was way after us. She wasn't tired at all! My dad, cousins, sister and I were looking for fish, baby fish or lily pads. Suddenly, my dad stopped and said, "I found baby fish!"
"Wow! They're so tiny!", my sister said. I was surprised. 13 minutes later, we went back to the car. My mum was waiting there for us and she had been waiting for seven minutes. Then we drove back to my cousin's house.
My cousins, sister and I played Kinetic Sand. I had fun playing with it because I loved making creations. A few hours passed by and we were all still playing outside. Then we decided to go inside to have some food.
We had fish, potato chips, potato fritters and sausages. "Yum!", my cousin said. It was so delicious that I couldn't stop eating! After that, we watched a few movies. That was one of the most interesting day because I have never seen a lily pad and a baby fish before.

Ahh! Brain Freeze!
On Monday the 6th of April, I woke up and it was a beautiful breezy morning. My family, cousins and I decided to go to Water World. Before we went there, my family packed some food. Now we can't go swimming in our jammies, can we? So we all took a rinse to freshen up ourselves.
Once we arrived at Water World, my family and I were so
thrilled that we couldn't wait to swim. "Let's go to the
sprinklers first!", I said. So I rushed to the sprinklers and ran in circles like a crazy dog. My cousins and sister were
following me. "This is awesome!", my sister said. After
playing with the sprinklers, my cousin and I rushed to the tall slide. The slide was as
smooth as glass. "Don't get frightened", said my cousin. "O-okay...", I replied. It was my
turn to try the tall slide. "Weee!", I said. It was mind-blowing. My cousin and I were having fun, especially me. Next we went to the
warm pools to play with my other cousin, sister and dad. We decided to play volleyball
and have a swimming race. That was a lot of fun as well.
We were a little bit hungry so we went off to eat. My whole family ate a lot and so
did I. We ate ice cream, pork, spaghetti, cake and a lot more. The best treat I had was
the ice cream because it was like a really cold block with my favourite flavour and the
sugar in it made me more hyper and energetic.
That was an awesome time bonding with my family. I wish that my family and I could go there twice or many times during the school holiday.
