The Funniest Duffy Theatre Ever!

On the 4th of August, Duffy theatre visited our school and we had an assembly inside the hall. The whole school went straight to the hall to watch the Duffy show at 1:30 pm. There were 3 people in the play and one of them was a girl named Rosie and the other two were boys named Duffy and uncle Bingo.

The play was about two people who loved reading books and they met uncle Bingo who did not like to read. He said to them, “Guys, I don’t like reading books!” Duffy and Rosie tried to change his mind.
Some of the parts were quite epic, like when uncle Bingo played rugby with Ballerina movements from the book that Rosie gave him. It was funny and weird when we had to make the noises for making ‘The Very Best Book’. We had to shout out loud our favourite book and it magically went into the book. I didn’t think that was true, but it was just for a bit of fun. It was awesome to see them act and talk to us. It was an hour’s performance and everyone enjoyed it.

We had 5 minutes to ask some questions. Then Darrelle went up to the Duffy people and said ‘Thank you’ to them.

WALT write a recount using adjectives and adverbs to make my writing more interesting.
I know this when I am using actions words and and describing words appropriately and correctly in my writing.
